After leaving the Accor franchise, MOA Berlin is now operating as an independent brand. With the mission statement Congress, Kiez & Culture, the hotel is realigning itself and strengthening its entrepreneurial freedom.
The MOA Berlin opens a new chapter in 2026: After ten years in the Accor network, Berlin's second largest conference hotel will operate as an independent brand. The decision in favour of independence was made deliberately at the end of the contractual term and underlines the ambition to develop the full potential of the location in Berlin-Moabit in a self-determined manner in the future.
MOA Berlin's move away from the group hotel industry is linked to the desire for more flexibility, particularly in technological and conceptual matters. Standardised structures are being replaced by independent brand management that can react more quickly to market requirements and focus on individual experiences.
In terms of content, the realignment follows the mission statement Congress, neighbourhood & culture. In future, MOA Berlin will see itself as a hybrid location that combines international business excellence with a local Berlin lifestyle and a value-based corporate culture. This transformation will be accompanied by a generational change in operational management: with Conny Doss (Commercial & Strategy) and Philip Ibrahim (Vision & Host), a dual leadership team that has been shaping the hotel for years and consistently developing its DNA will take over responsibility.
