The MOA Berlin has been operating completely independently since January 2026. Under the guiding principle of Congress, Kiez & Culture, the hotel is repositioning itself as an open venue for international congresses, entrepreneurial exchange and lively neighbourhood life in Berlin's Moabit district. As one of the largest conference hotels in the capital, MOA Berlin has consistently built up its brand, structures and content profile over the years and is now continuing on this path as an independent urban hub.
„We have outgrown the brand. Many people don't even realise that we are the second largest conference hotel in Berlin after the Estrel. We find ourselves in a certain vacuum in the conference business and now want to capitalise on the sweet spot. The segment is very dynamic. Accor can no longer help us with this.“
Philip Ibrahim, General Manager MOA Berlin
The move towards independence is the result of a long-term development: MOA Berlin focussed on its own systems, self-sufficient structures and a clear positioning in terms of content at an early stage. As an urban hub, the hotel now combines four experience areas - Meet, Stay, Eat and Work - and consciously no longer sees itself as a classic chain hotel, but as a „neighbourhood living room“ with international appeal.
It claims to be more than a classic hotel: a place of encounter, relevance and impact - for guests, partners and the neighbourhood.
