MOA Berlin is the most enriching temporary living space for business guests and MICE clients (Meetings Incentives Conventions Exhibitions) in Berlin.

History & Development of MOA Berlin
Once upon a time
2008 - The end of the Paech bread factory
In 2008, the chimney of the Paech-Brot factory will be demolished as the last landmark of the former large bakery in Moabit.
2009 - Big building plans
The project company Woks, which includes shareholders of the former Wendeln bread factory, wants to build a four-storey district centre with retail, services, hotel and gastronomy on the site. The first floors of the building could be occupied at the end of next year.
2010 - The hotel building stands
Construction: the modern hotel building will open in 2010 with 196 rooms divided into four categories and a 1,600 m² atrium on the top floor.
2011 - Appointment as Best Western Premier
In March 2011, just a few months after its opening, the hotel, which belongs to a small, independent hotel group (Chapeau Hotels), was named Germany's best business hotel, although its offer is equally well suited to leisure guests.
2016 - Hotel MOA Berlin
Since 1 January 2016, the hotel has presented itself under a new franchise brand and shines in a new look as Hotel MOA Berlin. The background to the brand change was the aim to get a strong brand and experienced partner at the side, who supports the hotel in strengthening its orientation and positioning in the MICE/convention segment and to grow continuously there.
2019 - Rebranding & strong growth course
In 2019, the management decided - together with the hotel management and the newly created marketing department - to develop a strong mission and overarching vision for the hotel group and MOA Berlin in particular in a strategy process lasting several months, accompanied by two external brand and management consultants. As a result, the individual service brands MOA STAY, MOA MEET, MOA EAT AND MOA WORK, among others, have emerged as independent service areas and thus separate profit areas, which have ensured clarity and clear brand promises both structurally and operationally.
More than 10 conversion measures in 10 years
- guided2010: The MOA Berlin has a conference area on the 3rd floor with almost 1000 m2
- Conversion of the 1st floor into the large Convention Hall
- Creation and conversion of rooms MOA 1-5 on the 1st floor
- End of 2017: The first sample rooms for the new hotel wing are created
- 2018: 130 new rooms will be created (incl. renaming of all room numbers)
- 2018: MOA Berlin gets its own fitness room with top equipment and a separate shower area
- 2018: Reconstruction of the reception & back office on the 2nd floor - the atrium gets a modern 360° reception desk
- 2018: New offices for sales, reservations and administration are set up and move to the 1st floor
- 2018: Planning & installation of the new banquet kitchen on the 2nd floor
- End of 2018: New 10 maisonette suites
- September 2019: Opening of the new MOA EAT restaurant and the MOA BAR, including the MOA 13 conference room
- Early 2020: Conversion of lifts in the parking deck
- 2020: MOA 14-17 (three new conference rooms including foyer)
- 2021: MOA 11 is created as a new separate room within the Convention Hall
- January 2024: Opening of the brand new MOA WORK co-working space on the ground floor of MOA Berlin with community areas, individual and group offices and four unusual meeting rooms.
- March 2025: Big announcement that MOA Berlin will be run as an independent hotel without a franchise brand from January 2026.
